Supervisory Environmental Protection Specialist (MPP-NW) | Glendale, AZ | Closes 8/31/2015

-Serves as the division manager for the Environmental Resource Management Division providing supervision, direction, oversight, control and coordination of the assigned division programs and environmental compliance activities.
-Accomplishes environmental mitigation commitments relating to biological and cultural resources.
-Ensures office’s compliance with legal and technical aspects of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (FWCA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and other applicable guidelines, policies, and laws.
-Provides oversight and control of division programs and environmental protection, environmental compliance, and resource conservation activities to support planning, design, construction, and/or operation of water resource management projects.
– Oversees the formulation of the Division’s work plans, schedules and justifications for budget requests. Prepares, monitors, and reports on budgets to carry out Division functional responsibilities.
-Maintains liaison with Federal, Tribal, State, and local governments, and universities for consultation, coordination, negotiation of cost share, and with public and special interest groups to obtain public insight and input.
