The Backyard Wildlife of the Southwest Facebook group has over 13,000 followers and growing. The group was created to make a safe place to celebrate and learn about local wildlife. We share photos, articles, and experiences, ask questions, learn wildlife facts, improve human-wildlife interactions, and more.
The group’s Admins (Jessica Moreno, Tina Baker, and Elisabeth Scoville) are seeking Moderators to join their team. Moderators help approve members requests, remove and block trolls and bots, respond to member reported posts, and moderate appropriate content on the group feed. Moderators also help share wildlife information and events, correct misconceptions, and educate about local wildlife. This is a volunteer gig, but the time commitment is flexible.
