Gambels’ Quail Telemetry Field Tech Positions

(two positions, January through May 2025)

University of Arizona will soon be announcing two field technician positions to help with an ongoing Gambel’s quail telemetry project north of Tucson, Arizona. Duties will include trapping Gambel’s quail and attached GPS and VHF transmitters, monitoring quail movements, locating and monitoring quail nests, and conducting vegetation surveys. One position will run January 20 through May 30 and the second position will run January 20 through April 26. The position will be formally advertised in early 2025. Persons interested can contact Alexis Rickert (alexisrickert@arizona.edu) to ask questions or let her know of your interest now.
