National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) | Remote
NEW Solutions is seeking an experienced Management Advisor to provide leadership, analysis, and strategic support to National Park Service leadership at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and other border parks as needed.
This part-time, remote position will support the NPS on complex land-management and resource-protection issues, with a particular focus on coordination surrounding border security, infrastructure, and activities occurring on NPS lands.

- Travel: One approximately week-long trip to the park is anticipated; air travel may be required depending on the enrollee’s location.
Primary Responsibilities
The Management Advisor will work with NPS leadership to:
- Provide advice, analysis, and support on complex land-management and compliance issues.
- Evaluate proposed actions for consistency with NPS policies, legal requirements, and resource-protection mandates.
- Assess strategies related to border security and natural and cultural resource protection.
- Support coordination and communication among NPS, federal agencies, Tribal entities, local stakeholders, and other partners.
- Attend interagency coordination meetings and prepare briefing papers, issue summaries, talking points, memoranda, and other leadership materials.
- Identify potential risks to natural and cultural resources and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Track interagency commitments and emerging policy issues.
- Develop and organize records related to Border Patrol infrastructure and technology on NPS lands, including Special Use Permits and Rights-of-Way.
- Develop tracking methods for active permits, expiration dates, renewals, and leadership status updates.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- 20 years of experience in NPS park or regional leadership roles; OR
- A BA/BS degree plus at least 15 years of additional experience; OR
- Previously completed facilitation and/or negotiation training.
Candidates should also have experience representing an agency or organization at a senior level and communicating with elected officials, federal agency personnel, and other senior leaders.
Experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook is required.
