Bat Conservation International (BCI), a nonprofit dedicated to ending bat extinctions worldwide, is hiring a GIS Analyst to support its Habitat Protection and Restoration (HP&R) Program. This role supports mapping and geospatial needs for bat conservation projects across the western U.S., with a strong focus on Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting field data collection with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123
- Performing data QC and creating high-quality maps in ArcGIS Pro
- Managing ArcGIS Online content and geospatial databases
- Assisting with geospatial analysis, UAS data, and occasional field work
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and project partners
Ideal candidates will have:
- At least 2 years of GIS experience or a GIS certificate/degree
- Proficiency with ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123)
- Interest or experience in ecology, conservation, or natural resources
- Willingness to hike and work in remote environments occasionally
