GIS Analyst with Bat Conservation International

Location: Hybrid (Tucson, AZ) | Status: Full-Time | Salary: $60,000/year + benefits

Bat Conservation International (BCI), a nonprofit dedicated to ending bat extinctions worldwide, is hiring a GIS Analyst to support its Habitat Protection and Restoration (HP&R) Program. This role supports mapping and geospatial needs for bat conservation projects across the western U.S., with a strong focus on Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting field data collection with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123
  • Performing data QC and creating high-quality maps in ArcGIS Pro
  • Managing ArcGIS Online content and geospatial databases
  • Assisting with geospatial analysis, UAS data, and occasional field work
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and project partners

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 2 years of GIS experience or a GIS certificate/degree
  • Proficiency with ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123)
  • Interest or experience in ecology, conservation, or natural resources
  • Willingness to hike and work in remote environments occasionally
