EPNR Manager

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $129,125 – $184,006 annually

Position Overview

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) is seeking an Environmental Protection and Natural Resources (EPNR) Manager to lead environmental protection, natural resource management, and range management programs within the Community Development Department. This leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary team of environmental professionals while supporting strategic planning, regulatory compliance, budget administration, and grant management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision for environmental and natural resource staff
  • Direct environmental protection programs involving air, land, water, waste management, and natural resources
  • Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate environmental review processes and support NEPA compliance efforts
  • Manage department budgets, long-range planning, and grant-funded projects
  • Represent SRPMIC on state, regional, and national environmental committees and task forces
  • Collaborate with Community departments, enterprises, and leadership on environmental and resource management priorities
  • Monitor regulatory changes and develop recommendations related to environmental laws and policies
  • Support sustainable land development while protecting Community natural resources

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning, Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Physical Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional environmental program experience
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, program management, budgeting, and leadership
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license required
