Bat Conservation International (BCI) — a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending bat extinctions worldwide — is hiring multiple Restoration Technicians to support field conservation work across the western U.S.
Location: Flagstaff or Tucson, Arizona
Status: Part-time, as-needed
Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience, plus overtime)
Start Date: As early as June 2, 2025
About the Role:
Restoration Technicians will assist BCI’s Habitat Protection & Restoration Program with projects that benefit bats and other wildlife. Work will take place in remote, rugged environments and includes:
- Fence construction, erosion control, and pond/spring restoration
- Agave planting and invasive plant removal
- Acoustic monitor setup and data collection
- eDNA surveys, habitat assessments, and project reporting
- Overnight travel with camping or provided lodging
Ideal Candidates Have:
- A degree or 2+ years’ experience in wildlife, restoration, or natural resources
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Comfort working outdoors and carrying 30+ lbs
- (Preferred) Experience with tools, off-trail navigation, acoustic monitoring, or ArcGIS
