Native Plantings at Southern Galiuro Ponds
December 8, 2017 – December 9, 2017
Carianne Campbell: email@example.com
SIA has partnered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Tom Biebighauser of Wetland Restoration and Training LLC to install ponds near the Muleshoe Ranch in the southern Galiuros to provide habitat for lowland leopard frogs, and potentially endangered Gila topminnows and desert pupfish. Many native bird, bat, dragonfly and butterfly species are sure to benefit from the new habitat as well. On this trip we will be installing native plants to jump start the revegetation process around the ponds and make sure there is a good variety of plants that will be beneficial to local wildlife.
