National Public Lands Day: Lake Pleasant Clean-up
September 24, 2016 @ 6:30 am - 11:00 am
FreeCelebrate National Public Lands Day by assisting in a shoreline and park cleanup day at Lake Pleasant! This will be a day of service and fun in the magnificent Lake Pleasant setting.
**All volunteers can enjoy the Lake for the rest of the day for free, after the clean-up event.**
The Lake Pleasant Shoreline is vast and always in need of some extra helping hands. Join in as volunteers clean up trash and debris in order to beautify the area for future patrons and to preserve the natural landscape. We need lots of help cleaning the shorelines (families and service groups), on islands (kayakers), under the water (scuba divers), and on the trails (hikers). This will be in partnership with Maricopa County Parks and Recreation!
Reminders:
• Work gloves and snacks will be provided
• Please wear appropriate clothing, closed toe shoes, and sun screen.
• Please bring a water bottle to refill.
• Some trash pickers will be available for use, but if you have your own please bring them.
Come help us take back the park from the trash monster!
Date/Time: Check in @ 6:30 am on Saturday, September 24th (see directions below). The event ends at 11:00 am. Admission to the park will be free ALL DAY so feel free to swim, hike, etc. after the event!
