Flagstaff March for Science

Saturday, April 22
2:00PM – 5:00PM
Thorpe Park Ramada (south end of park)
191 N. Thorpe Rd., Flagstaff, AZ 86001

The March for Science on Saturday, April 22, sounds a call to support and safeguard the

scientific community. Recent policy changes have caused heightened worry among

scientists. The mischaracterization of science as a partisan issue, which has given

policymakers permission to reject overwhelming evidence, is a critical and urgent matter.

It is time for people who support scientific research and evidence-based policies to take a

public stand and be counted.

The primary march will be in Washington, DC, but satellite marches are occurring across

the nation, including in several Arizona cities. We encourage you to join your local march!

The Flagstaff March for Science will start at Thorpe Park and head to Flagstaff City Hall.

After the march, join a rally with speakers from the community in celebration of science

and to support the scientific community.

The Flagstaff March for Science is NOT JUST FOR SCIENTISTS – it is critical for anyone who

supports science, science education, and science policy to join in this effort and stand with

us as we advocate for our future.

Sponsored by the Committee for Evidence-Based Action (www.facebook.com/nauceba) &

the local scientific community in coordination with the National March for Science.
