Agua Fria National Monument BioBlitz
May 21, 2016
FreeThe Bureau of Land Management’s Agua Fria National Monument BioBlitz 2016 will focus on finding and identifying as many species as possible on the Agua Fria National Monument (AFNM). Scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members will work together to get an overall count of the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms that live on the Monument. This year is the National Parks Service’s 100 year anniversary and the AFNM wants to help them celebrate by joining their National BioBlitz effort. The results of the BioBlitz held on the Monument, along with participating parks and monuments run by the NPS, will be shown live on the National Mall in Washington D.C. and can be followed online.
