πŸ’° Cost: Free! (A $6 annual membership with the Arizona Chapter of TWS is encouraged)

About the Workshop:

Hosted by the Arizona Chapter of The Wildlife Society, this one-day workshop will expose participants to real-world techniques used in wildlife management and research. The event will feature hands-on training sessions led by professionals from the Arizona Game and Fish Department, USDA Wildlife Services, universities, and NGOs.

πŸŒ™ Bonus: Bat mist netting after dark on Saturday + potential Sunday morning activities!

Workshop Highlights:

βœ… Capture Techniques – Sherman traps, clover traps, and more
βœ… Wildlife Handling & Equipment Use – Darting, leg holds, propane net guns, CODA Net Gun
βœ… Radio-Telemetry & GPS – Learn how to track wildlife
βœ… Bat Identification & Mist Netting – See nocturnal wildlife up close!

🌲 Camping is permitted and encouraged on Friday and Saturday nights, offering great networking opportunities!

🚨 Limited Spots Available! Space is capped at 60 participants, with priority given to students and young professionals. Other chapter members will be placed on a waitlist for any remaining spots.
