AZGFD Black-footed Ferret Reintroduction

Join the Arizona Game and Fish Department, in partnership with the Double O Ranch, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other entities, in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the reintroduction of black-footed ferrets to Arizona and the creation of a new Safe Harbor Agreement that allows for the release of endangered ferrets into a new privately-owned area. The Double O Ranch will become the third black-footed ferret reintroduction site in Arizona and further contribute to the species’ National Recovery Goals.

Event activities include: a release of black-footed ferrets, educational booths, ferret memorabilia, and several talks by
members of the Black-footed Ferret Working Group.
A picnic-style lunch will be served.
