DESCRIPTION:The Navajo Natural Heritage Program is hosting the 1st Annual Navajo Nation Bioblitz as part of the City Nature Challenge! \nEvent Details: \n\nDates: April 24–26\, 2026\nLocation: Across the Navajo Nation (with in-person activities at Asaayi Lake)\n\nThis event focuses on documenting biodiversity across Diné Bikéyah and is open to all experience levels. \nWays to Participate: \n\nIn-person (Asaayi Lake):\n\nGuided field surveys\, nature exploration\, and optional camping\nRegistration required by April 17 (limited space)\n\n\nAnywhere on Navajo Nation:\n\nSubmit observations using the iNaturalist app\nNo registration required\n\n\n\nParticipants will contribute observations through iNaturalist as part of the global City Nature Challenge\, helping document and showcase biodiversity across the Navajo Nation! \nSee the flyer below for registration details and additional information.
