Check out their upcoming presentations and workshops below! \n\nVirtual Presentation: Tracking Desert Purple Martins\nSeptember 3 | 11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Virtual | Free \nJoin Tucson Bird Alliance Director of Bird Conservation Jennie MacFarland for a virtual presentation highlighting the latest findings from ongoing Desert Purple Martin research. Learn about their behavior\, habitat\, migration\, and recent discoveries about their movements through Southeast Arizona. \n\nIt’s All in the Family: Shorebird ID Workshop\nSeptember 10 & 12 | Tucson\, AZ \nLed by Homer Hansen\, this two-part workshop explores shorebird natural history\, molt\, and identification. Participants will attend an evening classroom session on September 10 followed by an all-day field workshop and birding trip on September 12 to put their identification skills into practice. \nCost: $125 members | $175 non-members \n\nBrand New to Birding Field Workshop\nSeptember 26 | 6:30–9:00 AM | Sweetwater Wetlands \nNew to birding? This beginner-friendly workshop led by Alex Patia will cover the basics of using binoculars\, finding and identifying birds by sight and sound\, bird behavior\, birding apps\, and field guides during an easy walk around Sweetwater Wetlands.
